Apparently about 15 years ago in China there was some kind of big ship crash and thousands of toy rubber duckies were released to roam the ocean. It seems that the Chinese company didn’t care about recovering the floating refugees and just let them go. The little yellow guys still remain floating in the oceans even today.
How cute. But the most interesting part of this story is that one duck recovered from this toy flock fetches for about $1,350 dollars on the market. Although 19,000 ducks have landed on the coast of South America, there still remains about 10,000 ducks just waiting to be plucked from the ocean and sold. If you were to rent a plane to find them and net them all in, you would get a cool $13,000,000 for your efforts. That would easily pay for any expenses you would have paid for plane rental and travel.
I make enough money from my websites and stock market investments that I don’t really need the money so I’m not going to do it. Plus I’m lazy. What about you?
